Is it worth it to upgrade your rifle to a chassis?
Just how accurate is a Tikka T1x in 22LR
The reason i did this video comparison testing the Facotry T1X rifle to itself in a MDT chassis was to see just how capable the barrelled action is. as it performed rather mediocrly on it own in the facotry configuration and then recompare it to the CZ457 MTR match as a bonus for you at the END

Nice review my friend and 32Mils of adjustment lol is shooting from one Zip Code to another so yes plenty of adjustment. I’ve been looking at Discovery and actually thought they were Rimfire only so thank you. S.F.
Stop using the led sled to shoot groups ! It prevents the rifle from recoiling naturally !! Especially for higher recoiling rounds !!! If they are so wonderful for accurate shooting, Then Why don’t long range target shooters use them !! The exact number of those folks that use led sled is Zero !!
@user-tb8qq7tj2o hey User, I don't own a led sled. In the video you will see a rifle supported by a front adjustable rest (the rock) and a rear support. Thanks for watching!
Sorry must have been a different video !! I sure hope my predator shoots good !! Just got a gen 2 predator in 6 mm ARC !! I have not mounted the scope yet, an Athlon argo 6x25x50 which I am pretty excited about !! For clarity and tracking they typically rate very well just like other Ruger gen 2 rifles ??? I got that unit because I just want to learn how to shoot past 400 yards, not to compete or anything like that !! For hunting I have a gen 1 in 308 that is very accurate especially for hunting !!
AORR only took $60 off
@@Kpak7 it's not the same sale on right now
Only thing I can see missing is a brass deflector
1600 Now in US
Is this a good first long range rifle?
This is a control feed rifle like a Mauser Rifle as opposed to a push feed rifle like the Remington 700. Doesn't effect accuracy but your less likely to have a misfeed or double feed.
Should get the Green Mountain 17" tapered barrel. Will fir perfectly in the LVT stock and will be upgraded to a bentz chamber.
Dude, I got the 10-40x and wish I didn’t.. It’s not that great. At x40 the eye box is super tight and darkened really bad! Wish I didn’t get this
I love the Tikkas, but their stocks feel like cheap garbage and I’d never buy one and keep the original stock. The Bergara intrigued me with the reviews, but the aesthetics are what pushed me over the edge.
Are you affiliated with Ultimate Arms optics and rifle review? He literally copies your script nearly 100%
Hey Berserker, lol yes I'm aware of him. I'm mentoring him. He's working on doing his own scrip. But thanks for that!
@@EpikArms cool, I have seen other times when it wasn’t a planned thing so I wanted to make sure.
Has howa never heard of tikka?
What’s your take on this casex being used in prs competitions?
@@ProjectArms4719 Cadex quality is basically going to get you custom accuracy in a factory build. I would 100% be ready to use a cadex for PRS.
Big difference of everything between the Bergara HMR pro premier/and HMR. The action is awesome on the Premier Pro. At least mine is.
C'est toi le meilleur merci beaucoup ✌️👍
thanks!
Like to see it in a mdt fieldstock review for the t1x to see if the upgrade to the xrs is worth the money
Get a Tikka t3 you will never regret it.
@@stevewalker4638 lol I have 3. There one of my favourites
hello a greeting from Spain What rings do you use in the video to mount the scope? what brand are they ?
@@JuanKrlosFn I used discovery premium medium height
@@EpikArms thank you so much
I really liked this video! Especially a follow up to the original! It’s nice to see what the difference a chassis can make! I’m still a CZ fan! But great content! 👍🏻
well I am loving that scope..tracks extremely well and the glass is very clear. thnx again for the great service. 👍
Any issues with the stock gas system being overpressured? Im on the fence of getting an adjustable gas valve. Haven’t fired the rifle yet but I’ve heard some horror stories.
@FoShizzle1993 no I havent had any issues. Mainly running pmc bronze
For the same price range as the Lockhart tactical raven I don't see any point in this rifle
Is the action in all CZ457s basically equal? I haven’t seen the MTR version locally, but I do believe I have seen a CZ457 American and a CZ457 Varmint
@stephenkarl1440 yes the actions are all the same. The mtr is this specific wood stock variant and thr match refers to the chambering
idk man. 2:30 Your groups between the chassis and the standard stock on the whole is .85 vs .9 (or .73 v .72), that's barely an improvement at all. Tough for most guys to justify any cost for such a minimal improvement. The only meaningful improvement really was the centerX ammo. The rest of the groups of your chassis vs stock are all about the same. One good load is all you need to take your game to the next level, but being that it's a sample size of 1, who knows if that would even show up for most shooters. 18/19 showing no real improvement isn't great odds.
Did you do the barrel brake in after 200 shots, or is this straight out of the box.
yes the Tikka has about 2000+ rounds throught it before this video and the CZ for the comparison at the end has 5000+
Interesting results.. that said i Love my MTR wouldn't trade it for the world. however i still plan on a T1X at some point... maybe ;) B14R barrelled action intrigues me!
Woox, MDT and Boyd's make the best chasis in the business. MDT like to put a lot of holes and lightening cuts in their chassis but they arent light weight at all.
@almostontimehero5415 i would dissagree for boyds. I own like 4 or 5 and 2 of them the holes were misaligned.
Interesting video I never even shot mine in the factory stock as I had an oryx waiting when it got here but this makes me curious.
@@nathanakins6072 yeah id love to see a larger sample test like this on multiple rifles
T1x in a chassis vs T1x UPR? What’s the better route? That’s the video I’d like to see. Thanks for the great content
@seancoyle6463 the chassis would be bedded a but better than the upr stock. But likely have little to no effect on accuracy. The biggest advantage would be your preffered ergonomics and ability to add attachments to the chassis. For example on this xrs you a tripod to the arca while the upr you cannot. The upr is ergonomic and a very nice simple stock. But it's simple
If you want to put a Tikka T1X in a different stock/chassis I would check out the GRS Bifrost. Amazing grip and all the adjustments. Can't go wrong matching up two nordic brands. 🇧🇻🇫🇮
Wow loved the video its like u said CZ was made more for bench shooting and tikka more for hunting 👍👍
what would be really cool is if Tikka make a match chamber and a heavy barrel. i might just throw on a IBI on this Tikka
@@EpikArms They released face lift version of t1x which have bit different ejection/feeding system. Also t1x hunter which is face lift with wood stock and shortened flush fit magazines. But i dont think they are planning to make bench/varmint version of t1x because that model is supposed to be a cheap and good enough for most purposes. Sako otherhand have that quad range version but it is very expensive and to my understanding just sako quad HB with heavy wooden range stock. Overally t1x is made for international sales in mind and corners were cut to get price least somehow competive level because Finland is not exacly cheap place to produce anything because tax and labor cost.
Great video brother
thank you sir!
I actually never shot mine in it's factory stock.
Coming back to the video…None of the custom triggers actually made for the Browning AB3. Even in JARD Trigger clearly states for their “JARD Trigger System for Browning A-Bolt” “Does NOT Fit A-Bolt III (AB3)” I have already teardown my AB3, and tried to research and thought the older models would work (spoiler alert it didn’t). It is a complete different design altogether. So, it is very clear none of the aftermarket triggers are going to make triggers for the AB3. Which I did not want to hear that as well, but that’s reality. So…You could say it is a “dead product” or a “zombie product”. With there’s little to no support, it does feel like it has no future.
Don't want to be that guy but why is your dog in the middle of your firing range??
Aller me llego este modelo de 4-32x56. Se siente muy bien, pero las torretas no se pueden bloquear, en el catalogo 2024 dise que si ,¿ La tuya se puede bloquear la torreta¿
I like that stock . What is it ?
woox Furiosa Elite
@@EpikArms will my Bergara fit in one ?
I have 2 riflescopes in front of me. Vortex Venom 5-25x5 and Sig Sauer Tango4 4-24x50. I like the Vortex better visually. But!! Technically, the Sig Sauer is so much better. Pin sharp image. Much brighter than the Vortex. I could see the grain of the wood at 500m. That wasn't possible with the Vortex
Hello, a viewer from Poland here. I have a question for you, which will be better: New Remington 700 SPS Tactical 5R or Tikka CTR? Greetings from Poland and sorry for any spelling mistakes
@@konger_7819 tikka 100%
Definitely the ticka .
I’d like to see you do the Taurus expedition. Curious how it stacks in your opinion.
Hate it when a shooter holds on to the scope when shooting.

Hello, I have watched almost every hunting rifle review. I can't decide which one I want to buy. Could you please help me out and suggest few cheap rifles worth considering.
@piotrekbzdyra4033 right now, I'd recommend the Steven's 334 as my most recommendable budget hunting rifle. (If you can find one with a stainless steel bolt it's even better
Unfortunately, this rifle is not available in Poland. Could you recommend me another weapon?
